The Middle School Conference

This week, I’ve had the pleasure of representing a group of TeachersPayTeachers sellers at the North Carolina Middle School Conference.  With samples of their products in hand, I was able to meet and talk with middle school teachers from across North Carolina to tell them about the great people and products they can find on TpT!

It is always a wonderful experience to meet with teachers.  They share their ideas and they talk about their concerns, with all comments in the interest of our students.  The best part for me, however, is when I meet up with teachers that have never heard of TpT, and they respond to the information with such appreciation and enthusiasm.  What could be more exciting than finding out you don’t have to reinvent the wheel in your classroom everyday, but can still teach students with the latest and greatest, common core aligned, fun-filled, engaging activities out there?!

For those of you I met at the conference, here are the links to those super teachers I shared with you.  Visit their stores to see all of the incredible resources they have available.

  1. Michele,

I'm headed to TPT right now to check out your Roaring 20s unit that I had found a couple of weeks ago. I'm wanting to set up stations or a gallery walk type of thing, but I'm not sure if the background is going to use too much ink for me to print out. Thanks for the time you have put into your stuff!! This is my 1st year EVER teaching history. 🙂

  2. Hi Shannon! There is a link to that Walking Tour just two blog entries below. That may be easier than the search!

As for the ink, I would print 2 to a page on "fast draft" and the grey scale setting to give yourself more of a light grey background instead of the black!

Hope it is a big hit in your class!

  3. Hi Michele! I'm fascinated by your networking through TPT. I just started last fall, and was recently asked to present at my school in southern Vermont. I'd love to link up with more teachers for TPT and blogging. Do you know of any branches up in New England? thanks for your shares on the seller's forum… so exciting! by the way, i am you 100th follower on here! (made me feel special!) :). Thanks again, Stacey mrscolegrovesfourthgrade.blogspot.com/

    1. Hi Stacey!
My recommendation would be for you to start a thread in the forum asking others in your region to link up with you. I think the great thing about TpT is that we all can network from all across the country and now around the world. I will actually be traveling the east coast this summer representing TpT teachers, attending conferences and visiting schools interested in learning more about TpT. Maybe in the fall, I can make it up to Vermont! I love meeting fellow TpTers and we have talked about going up to VT, NH and Maine forever! 🙂

  4. Thanks, Michele, I just bought it and I'm about to try printing it now. 🙂

  5. I've downloaded it to my laptop but now I can't find the "fastdraft" you mentioned to be able to print 2 to a page. ?? 🙂
